In April 2019, Experian acquired Compuscan and Compuscan Lesotho (Pty) Ltd which was granted a licence by the Central Bank of Lesotho in 2013, to address a need for a credit bureau within the financial industry. In January 2021, CSIT Lesotho, also known as Compuscan Lesotho, was renamed Experian Lesotho (Pty) Ltd.

All credit providers in Lesotho are required to subscribe to Experian Lesotho (Pty) Ltd as per the Credit Report Act. This includes credit providers, providers of financial services, providers of long-term and short-term insurance, educational institutions, employers in terms of a contract of employment, state organisations, courts and judicial officers, providers of goods and services, debt collectors to whom book debt is ceded and the consumer to whom the information belongs.
